Worshipping together is one of the core practices of the church. The worship team helps create a gracious and worshipful environment, and they lead the church into encounters with God through communal practices that form us spiritually, that proclaim God’s goodness to the hurting and the lost, and that bring God glory and honor. We are, as the old hymn says, “prone to wander,” and worship refocuses our vision and our hearts back to where they belong: on Jesus.
All Worship Team Members, from worship leaders to accompanists to folks leading prayers all commit themselves first to following Jesus and attending to their own spiritual growth.
This Worship & A/V team helps guide the church through regular encounters with God’s story through Scripture, prayer, music, teaching, and other communal practices. The A/V Team ensures the environment and technology aids worship and does not distract by setting and adjusting audio equipment, running display slides, recording audio and video, and running lights.

At Impact, food is more than just physical sustenance. We follow Jesus and the apostles’ practice of sharing life together around a meal table, where strangers from all walks of life have the opportunity to connect and become friends. The Kitchen Team works together to provide good meals every Sunday for lunch, Wednesday for dinner, and for other events throughout the year.
We hope to share the load of planning, preparing, serving, and cleaning up with others among our church. The Last Sunday of the Month Potluck is one way in which we do that by asking the church to provide the food that week which gives our kitchen team a break. We hope to grow rotating kitchen crew volunteers to continue to share this ministry.

Prayer is incorporated in various ways at Impact. We want to have a team of committed prayer warriors who bring the needs and requests of our community to the Lord. They also follow up with people who are sick or injured and those who have been going through difficult times. They keep the church leaders and shepherds aware and praying for the specific needs of the congregation. In addition to their commitment to pray, prayer team members are also committed to strict confidentiality. No prayer request will be shared without first receiving explicit permission from the person in need.
There are many different opportunities to pray.

Our goal for the IMPACT KIDS, IMPACT YOUTH, and IMPACT NURSERY ministry is to equip children to know God’s love and to share God’s love with others. To that end, we create safe and fun learning environments where children and youth explore the Scriptures through story, creativity, and play. We also understand the value of community for our parents, so we encourage all parents to participate in some way.
The safety and well-being of the children at Impact is our highest priority. The expectations for all teachers and assistants is high, because we believe that equipping and discipling children is one of the most important forms of Christian ministry. All children’s ministry volunteers will submit applications with references and will undergo a criminal background check. Teachers must by 18 years or older. If you’re interested in volunteering for our IMPACT KIDS Team, you can fill out this application.

Our church leadership team values life groups and is currently working to facilitate their organization and institution. We want and need those of you who desire and are committed to helping launch life groups as an official function of Impact to be a part of this process. Let us know if you are interested in hosting, facilitating, or attending a small group.

When opportunities arise to connect and serve our neighbors, we are ready to respond. All church members will have opportunities to organize and put together community events and service projects throughout the year. By filling out our SERVE Team form, you can ensure that you’re notified when such opportunities arise.

Indicating interest in an area of service does not guarantee that you will be able to serve in exactly the way that you want, and some roles require additional applications and screening. But church leaders will work with you to try and help you find the unique areas of involvement that are right for you.
